Seattle Massage at Its Best
Why am I the best? My clients tell me it's because I really listen. Whether you seek stress relief or injury treatment, I'll meet your specific needs with care (and a touch of humor). I've been a licensed massage therapist in Seattle for over 20 years, and use a variety of techniques to make sure you get the best massage possible.
The massage techniques I use include a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, trager-style rocking, myofascial stretching, acupressure, and trigger point work. Depending on your situation, I may also discuss your ergonomic setup and make some suggestions about how a few simple changes can reduce chronic pain and relieve stress.
Got Back or Neck Pain?
Sick and tired of it? Feel your aches, pains, and stress melt away as you relax on my heated table, experiencing a new sense of freedom in your body. Great when you need to unwind after a long day at the computer or a tough week at work. I specialize in neck and upper back pain. (But I also do a great relax-to-the-max zone-out Esalen-style stress-relief/relaxation massage).
Whether you woke up with a "crick" in your neck, got whiplash from a fender-bender, or have had chronic pain for years, give me a call and we'll talk about what's going on.
Here's part of a testimonial I received from one of my many satisfied (and very relaxed) massage clients:
"When I first went to Jan, I was surprised at how she was so attuned to my own personal health needs. She asked many questions to learn more about how she can help me. I could tell that she not only knew about massage as an art form, but she also knew how to use it as an effective tool to heal. Her massage room is warm and inviting. I soon found that all the knots in my back were magically melting under her fingertips. I quickly realized that this one-time luxury needed to be a part of my weekly routine. Jan has proven to be a true professional as well as a master of technique. I never knew my body could feel this healthy! She has definitely played an important part in my efforts to manage daily stress and maintain my overall health."
